Every 2 seconds someone in the United States needs blood. Yet only 3% of the eligible population in Southern California gives blood.
Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who have cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell, anemia and other illnesses. Some people need regular blood transfusions to live.
Imagine if giving blood was part of everyone's life. Something you did on a regular basis, like eating at your favorite restaurant. What kind of difference would that make? For nearly 5 million people who receive blood transfusions every year, your donation can make the difference between life and death. Together with Red Cross Blood Services blood donors are ensuring that the safest possible blood is readily available whenever and wherever needed - for the military, for other blood centers in America and for America's hospitals. The Red Cross supplies about half of the nation's blood supply. Please help us help others.
Blood donors must be 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds, and be in good general health.
The Arcadia Chapter hosts Blood Drives every Monday from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
