On Thursday, January 8, 2008 a magnitude 4.5 earthquake stuck San Bernardino . Felt across much of Southern California , only minor damage was reported. The moderate earthquake was followed by two aftershocks, one measuring magnitude 3.3 and the second with a magnitude of 1.7. The most important thing to do during an earthquake is to DUCK under a sturdy table, COVER your head and neck, and HOLD ON until the shaking stops. While we cannot predict earthquakes, we can take steps to prepare for them.
