HURRICANE VICTIMS NEED YOUR HELP NOW!
Thursday, September 25, 2008 (371 reads)

As Texas residents are being allowed back into areas devastated by Hurricane Ike, the Red Cross is responding with shelters, food, comfort kits, clean up kits, and emotional support.  Thousands of residents will still have to continue to stay in shelters until their homes can be repaired and power can be restored.  The Arcadia Chapter has deployed five volunteers and Chapter CEO Robert Deao to assist with relief efforts.  Amy Hoyt, Amy Chiou, Kenny Wang, and Jo Kikkert are staffing shelters and assisting clients in Texas and Louisiana .  Neil Conrad and Robert Deao are working with local and state government officials to coordinate relief efforts and shelter locations.  Our volunteers are staffing 2 and 3 week assignments, working 12 hour days to provide around the clock assistance to those affected by the storms of 2008.  But your help is urgently needed to continue our relief efforts.  No donation is too small.  Every dollar counts. With your support we can continue to assist those who need help the most.
