Arcadia Chapter provides mutual aid
The American Red Cross is on the scene in communities around Southern California, providing assistance to those affected by the wildfires that have ravaged
Southern California since Sunday, October 21, 2007. Working in partnership with state and local governments and support agencies, the Red Cross is continuing outreach efforts to provide shelter, food, clean up kits, and emotional support to thousands of evacuees in 23 shelters across multiple
Southern California counties. The Arcadia Chapter provided mutual aid and support along with Red Cross Chapters throughout LA County to assist evacuees.

Arcadia Chapter sends aid to Santa Clarita Fire

At 9:30 pm, Sunday October 23, 2007, the Arcadia Chapter sent 5 Disaster Action Team members in response to the Santa Clarita Fires.
Disaster Action Team members Adrian Velasquez, Kathleen Householder, Neil Conrad, Karen Conrad and Tagreed Abassi opened a shelter and worked all night at Sagus High School, where Adrian Velasquez is the Shelter Manager.
