On Monday, December 29th the Arcadia Chapter Disaster Action Team (DAT) responded to a call from the Arcadia Fire Department. A family had been displaced from a single family home as a result of fire damage. The Disater Action Team made arrangements for the family to stay at a local hotel and provided financial assistance to the family. All disaster assistance is free to our clients, thanks to the generous donations of the local community.
As 2008 comes to a end, everyone here at the American Red Cross, Arcadia Chapter would like to with wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Best Wishes for the New Year.
Please join us in taking a loo at a slideshow that highlights the events of 2008.
December 13th has been designated as National Day of Giving for the American Red Cross as part of our efforts to reach a $100 million fundraising goal for the Campaign for Disaster Relief, which began in September 2008. We've made great progress towards this goal, but we need your help to reach our goal. DISASTERS CHANGE LIVES. YOU CAN TOO.
