In recognition of Clara Barton's desciption as the "Angel of the Battlefield" for her work with wounded soldiers during the Civil War, Karry refers to her volunteer work as her "Angel Work." 

Karry's genuine concern for the well being of her clients is just one of her wonderful qualities.  Karry has even had her daughter accompany her on the delivery route. This simple act gives the Meals on Wheels recipients the opportunity to interact with the younger generation and encourages volunteerism.  In honor of Karry's volunteer work, Westfield Santa Anita will donate $500 to the American Red Cross Arcadia Chapter.
