Chapter sends twenty four volunteers to hurricane ravaged areas; more expected as damage is assessed.
Twenty two Arcadia Chapter volunteers have been sent to assist with Hurricane Katrina disaster relief as many more are standing by awaiting departure.
The volunteers will be dispatched to the affected regions of the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Individuals wanting to donate to the relief effort are urged to visit www.redcross.org, call 1 (800) HELP-NOW or send checks directly to the Arcadia Chapter. Please make checks payable to: "American Red Cross", and note in the bottom left hand corner donation designation; Hurricane 2005 Relief, National Relief Fund or Arcadia Chapter Local Disaster Relief.
