Arcadia Chapter celebrates 60th Anniversary!
Arcadia Chapter celebrates 60th Anniversary!
Activities for our guests included: a mock Disaster  Services Shelter; tours of the Radio Communications Room; a presentation about the Red Cross response to the October 2007 wildfires; CPR and Automated  External Defibrillator demonstrations; face painting by our youth volunteers; raffle drawings; and an exhibit of historical items.  The highlight of the day was an aerial group photo.  Guests - all dressed in red attire -gathered in front of the office, forming a human cross as two Red Cross volunteers took pictures from the roof of the hospital parking structure.

Chartered on January 10, 1948, the Arcadia Chapter has been providing Disaster Services, Health and Safety Services, Armed Forces Emergency Services,  International Services, Community Services, and Youth Services to the local community. With donations of time, blood, and money, volunteers and community supporters have helped us continue our mission of  helping people prevent,  prepare for and respond to disasters.

Many thanks to our amazing volunteers (especially our youth volunteers) for  helping to organize this event.   The Arcadia Chapter is proud to have been a part of the Arcadia community for 60 years.  With the continued support and encouragement of the community and our volunteers, we look forward to another 60 years in Arcadia!
